Mammoth Film Festival Announces 2008 Feature and Short Film Competition Lineups
October 22, 2008 – 10:11 amMAMMOTH LAKES, CA — The Mammoth Film Festival selection committee today announced the lineup of films for the Feature Film and Short Film Competitions at the 2008 Mammoth Film Festival. The announcement was made by MFF Program Director, Brian Hammers. The films accepted into competition were chosen out of hundreds of submitted films from around the world. Features and shorts will compete in two separate contests, and the feature film contest will culminate in Mammoth Film Festival’s traditional elimination-style tournament.
The 2008 Mammoth Film Festival will take place November 13-23, 2008, in Mammoth Lakes, California. Winners will be announced at the Festival Awards Party on November 22nd, where six awards will be presented: one award for Best Short Film; four Best in Category awards to feature film finalists in documentary, foreign, drama, and comedy/musical; and the festival’s top award, Best Picture, for the top overall feature film. The Best Picture and Best Short Film winners will also receive a digital distribution prize package, provided by New World Digital Entertainment.

Mammoth Film Festival is an annual winter film festival in Mammoth Lakes, California, home of the Mammoth Mountain ski resort. The Festival includes two film competitions, and accepts a broad range of entries for both the short and feature film categories.
