Mammoth’s Own Deena Kastor Featured in Inaugural Film Festival

The first annual Mammoth Film Festival kicks off Nov. 15, with a lineup including Spirit of the Marathon, starring Mammoth’s own marathon champion Deena Kastor.
When Spirit of the Marathon screens on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m., it will be the first time Kastor has seen the film, even though it has already been to the Chicago International Film Festival and won the Audience Choice award. The project was filmed in North America, Asia, Africa and Europe, but a large chunk of the filming took place in Mammoth Lakes, according to Dunham. It’s a great opportunity for locals to check out their town on the big screen.
