Before We Close
(Joshua Tucker, U S A, 77min)

Ozwald ‘Oz’ Bryant, a disheveled young playwright, is about to graduate and the only difference between a fellowship in New York that could make him a star and a life of desolate street-dwelling is his senior showcase.

With an unfinished script and only one week to put everything together, Oz casts his girlfriend, Penelope ‘Pen’ Moore as his leading lady and an old friend, Kent Graham, as her opposite. Together they will attempt to shape history and impact the hearts of their generation with the profoundly innovative and provocative tale of a couple in… Before We Close!

After an optimistic first rehearsal, Oz’s bubble bursts when he discovers that his casts’ chemistry on-stage is residual from a steamy relationship off-stage. Now, with no time left and a cast he can’t trust, Oz turns to the only person he can – his misanthropic mentor E.B. Jacobs.

Before We Close is a unique and witty coming of age story with a lovably dysfunctional twist of musical theatricality.
