These special rates are available at two Mammoth Mountain Ski Area properties: The Village Lodge, and Mammoth Mountain Inn.

Both properties offer excellent accomodations, however we recommend The Village Lodge as it is where registration is located, and it is closer to the screenings, as well as downtown Mammoth Lakes. Check out the Travel & Lodging page for more details and links.

Congratulations to you, the Official Selections of the 2010 Mammoth Film Festival. Individual filmmakers will be contacted via email with further details over the next few days. A screening schedule is under construction, and will be posted here when available. We are also working on a discount deal for lodging in Mammoth during the festival for those who would like to attend, more details to come.

Thank you to everyone for their patience with the selection process. And thank you to EVERYONE who submitted a film! We know how arduous and involved just making a film can be, and we are always pleasantly surprised by how difficult it is to make these final choices when presented with so much great film work!

Many filmmakers are probably wondering when/how the 2010 Mammoth Film Festival film lineup will be announced. We typically make selections at least one month prior to the festival, which puts this year’s announcement in the first week of November. Those who submitted through Withoutabox will be notified through the WAB notification system. Those who submitted directly will be contacted directly if their film is selected. Unfortunately, because of the volume of films we receive, we are unable to contact filmmakers who are not selected. As always, we appreciate the hard work that goes into all the films we receive each year, and while we can only select a limited number for inclusion in the festival, we wish all of you good luck and continued success!

The regular and late deadlines for 2010 Mammoth Film Festival submissions have passed, but we are offering a special extended late deadline to members of Withoutabox, our submissions partner. If you are already a member, simply visit their site to submit. If you are not yet a member, please see www.withoutabox.com for details and benefits of membership.

(For those who have already submitted, or will submit, please note that we do batch check-ins on Withoutabox, usually when received films enter the review process. If you have submitted a film, and the status on Withoutabox has not been updated, this does not necessarily mean that the film has not been received, just that it has not been added to a review batch yet. Postal tracking is a good solution if you are concerned about package transit; and remember that deadlines are based on the postmark date, not the received by date.)

Don’t forget that in addition to our traditional categories, we host specialty competitions for Green films, Extreme Sports (Action Sports?…Adventure Sports?…) films, and Faith-based films. All three of these genres are especially notable, the first two because of their relevance to Mammoth, and general popularity; and the latter because of the rising social emphasis on faith-based content in entertainment.

We are always impressed with the great work coming from independent filmmakers today, and we look forward to announcing our 2010 film lineup in early November!
